Shipping
We ship from 3 different locations within Southern California. The cost of shipping is calculated by the platform automatically based on the weight of the package. We try to ship orders as soon as we receive the payment, but please allow around 1 week processing time in addition to shipping time, as we might be attending to other work. Should we find any difficulties in shipping your order, we will contact you via email.
Domestic standard flat rate: $5
Domestic Snail Mail
Orders containing only small flat items can be shipped through snail mail (Approx. 2-5 business days, NO tracking). If you wish to ship your order this way, please leave a note at checkout, and a flat rate of $3.5 will be refunded.
Domestic mail flat rate: $1.5
International Shipping
We now offer international snail mail shipping. Please read through the end of this section to see important messages regarding all international orders and instructions on how to place a snail mail order.
Please know that Big Cartel does not automatically calculate VAT (value-added tax) and/or import tax for international customers. By purchasing items from this website, you acknowledge that you will be legally responsible for paying any additional VAT/import tax according to your local laws as the package arrives at your designated location, or the package may be held at customs. Before buying from our shop, please research your country's customs procedure to see if you have to pay VAT and how much the VAT fee is going to be for your order. Please also check the USPS Service Alerts for shipping availability. If your order is returned to us by the third party (carrier, customs, etc.), we will refund the cost of the items only.
International mail flat rate: $20
We are also taking international orders through Etsy, where you can pay VAT directly at checkout. UK & German buyers should use eBay as the sole platform due to recent policies. Thank you for understanding!

Currently, snail mail has been tested by many artists to be a viable way to reduce shipping costs and is less likely to be charged extra by customs. We only take snail mail orders from this website. Please leave a note at checkout if you choose this option. If you wish to ship your order this way, please leave a note at checkout, and a flat rate of $17 will be refunded.
